The Naked Soda Bottle.
A birthday illustration for my mom in reference to a funny joke from long ago.
My mom used to take me food shopping with her when I was very little, about four or five. I’d sit in the cart seat while she picked up various things we needed for the week, and I’m sure we kept each other quite entertained. One week when we turned down the soda aisle, my mom let out a horrified GASP and quickly covered my eyes. She burst out “Mikey! Don’t LOOk. That soda bottles naked!”
When I turned around and opened my eyes I saw the labeless soda bottle and I started hysterical laughing. I didn’t stop for days after and I kept making her repeat herself because I just thought it was so funny. Since then the story has been told and retold hundreds of times, so I felt like it needed a little drawing to commemorate it! Happy birthday mom, thanks for being a funny little lady :)
